Georges Lemaître Centre for Earth and Climate Research, Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium
The researches conducted at the Georges Lemaître Centre for Earth and Climate Research (TECLIM) at the Université catholique de Louvain
aim at understanding the functioning of the Earth system, with focus on
its climate component, and the interactions between human activities
and their natural environment.
These researches mainly concern (1) past environmental and climatic
changes, (2) the current state of the Earth and solar systems, (3)
human-environment interactions, and (4) modelling tools. Eric Lambin is
the primary researcher involved in REGARDS, and he leads a research
team that is involved in several international scientific projects on
human-environment interactions in different parts of the world. These
projects combine remote sensing, socio-economic data, and spatial
models to better understand and predict terrestrial ecosystem dynamics
and their impacts.
The team working on REGARDS consists of:
- Professor Eric Lambin
- To be appointed PhD
